Frequently asked questions

  1. "How quickly is transaction data available?"
Transaction data is available instantly in most cases, depending on settlement and merchant.

  2. "When will transactions be visible under "Receipts"?
Receipts will usually be visible under "Receipts" within 12-24 hours, depending on settlement and merchant.

  3. "What happens to uploaded receipts in the File-Archive?"
Once receipts have been uploaded to the File-Archive, our receipt-matching tool will automatically attempt to match this with the appropriate transaction. If it does so successfully, it will dissapear from the File-Archive. If no match is possible (e.g. due to settlement, missing data etc.) you can simply match the receipt by clicking "Match Receipt". Franklin provides clear account statements and exports, making monthly bank reconciliation fast and accurate. See how to download account statements here. Top-ups to your Franklin account (transfers from your bank) are exported each month with the other transactions.

  8. "Is the Franklin subscription with VAT?"
Our prices are listed without VAT but are subject to 25% Danish VAT. Please note that your monthly cashback is without VAT.

  9. "How do we manage cashback payouts in accounting?"
Typically, it would be recorded as either “financial income” or “other operating income”, but it’s entirely up to you. The important thing is that it is booked as income, not as a negative expense. Franklin issues a monthly cashback summary, which can be treated as a single voucher for bookkeeping purposes.

  10. "How do we manage ongoing transfers to the Franklin account?"
Your ongoing transfers (top-ups) appear under Receipts together with your other transactions. They’re automatically categorized as Top up and assigned to the bank account you connected during your initial integration setup when exported.
